Review: Ground & Pound By: Emily Minton, Alexis Noelle, & Kendra Gaither

What It's About?

Kane Travis is one of the most successful fighters in the UFC. His name is known worldwide. Men want to be him, and women just want him. All Kane wants is the heavyweight title. Nothing else matters to him, not until he sees Emmy twirling around a pole.
Kane has one rule: never give anyone else control. He doesn’t let anyone in, especially women. The night he meets Emmy, he knows she is more dangerous than any opponent he has ever fought.
Emmy Sanders will do anything to care for her younger brother, even taking her clothes off at a seedy strip club. Ever since their parents’ deaths, she has been the sole provider for them both. All Emmy wants is to get her brother through college. Nothing else matters to her, until she sees Kane sitting at the end of the stage.
Emmy has to have control over every aspect of her life. There is a time and place for everything, and she never wavers from her plan. The night she meets Kane, she knows he is more dangerous than anyone she has ever met.

My Thoughts

OK so it's hard ti pinpoint my favorite part of this story I have 1 to many!!! I freaking loved this story I ate it up in one complete day from cover to cover, it's all that was on my mind at my nephews 7th birthday party, I just couldn't stop thinking about it for the life of me. I'm really happy that this group of amazing and really talented bunch of authors (I so say bunch like it's more then just 3 lol) have wrote such a story like this, being hooked from the start, engrossed into every word and detail was great, the way they have the details just come to life on the pages was wonderful. The MMA fighter meets Stripper is really a laugh out loud moment, also makes you scratch your head like does this maybe actually happen? I wonder lol. Anyways back to the review;  The authors have the characters really really amazing, alpha, strong, caring, and a huge MMA fighter Kane not looking for love finds it in one who fights him on everything and doesn't want him. Emmy (love the way it's spelled) definitely not looking for love, she's caring, big heart and a really upbeat and down to earth person. The 2 of them mixed together and the banter is laugh out loud fun, the love is strong and the chemistry they have is beautiful but follow that chemistry up with hott sex and I do mean hot sex. The tension they have in some of the story is thick enough you could cut it with a steak knife it get's better the more the story moves on. The more and more the story goes on you get to know almost all the characters more and a story with of course a bad guy evolves making this a jaw dropping worthy read. The grow and get past small demons on the way, they really mesh well and learn to cherish what time one has and the love that is there for each other. I want to go into so many details about this story but I really have to stop myself so I don't give to many spoilers out. MUST READ Story, I crave to have more and really sad to see it end :( I cannot wait for more!!! This was a blow your mind type of story and one that I so recommend that every MMA fighter romance story lover to read this over and over again. It's one of those stories you can't help but fall in love with all the characters, feel their emotions and makes you seem like a fly on the way on every page. It's a page turner from cover to cover. Best book hangover ever!! I so wouldn't change anything about this story, the characters and the length. Amazingly written, great pace and the flow was really nice, everything mingled really well nothing was out of place or left to be questioned as to why that happened. All the characters came out strong in the end and had a super happy ending that you hope happens by 30% into it. Really fast and easy read. Grab a copy and read it!!
