Review: A Beautiful Mess By: T. K. Leigh

Synopsis

What happens when you lose everyone that promised they would always be there for you? How can you protect the few pieces of your shattered heart that remain?

Olivia Adler is a woman with a troubled past. After losing her parents at the young age of six and being raised by an uncle who she lost years later, she refuses to get attached to anyone, including friends. For the past decade, she has been able to remain unattached to any man, too worried about losing someone to get too close. Until Alexander Burnham walks into her life one night and changes everything. But he has issues of his own. And he’s keeping a secret that could turn Olivia's world upside-down. Will Olivia let Alexander in enough for him to get close and protect her from a force threatening her very existence, or will she push him away, scared of letting Alexander in, in order to protect her heart?

A Beautiful Mess is the first installment of a three part series sure to captivate the heart with a story of secrets, courage, and love.

Recommended for ages 18 and up due to sexual situations, language, and mild violence.

 My Review

Wow, I was happy that I did a review on this story. The sex scene's were GREAT!!! ok so the hole thing was great. I had a really hard time putting this down, dang work and everything plus I guess I had to put it down long enough to get sleep I don't think the Dr's would be ok with me falling asleep on the job lol. Although I didn't like the ending to much. Why you ask? lol it's really funny lol It left me hanging lol now I have to wait for the 2nd part to come out yes I said it the 2nd one!! I just hope it's great like this one.  Anyways let me just say first off that I loved the fact that the strong independent Olivia stayed like this the hole story she didn't take crap from no one and I really liked that. I felt sorry for her that she couldn't remember much from her childhood but, I believe that it helped her be a strong person. I also felt bad for Alexander that he knew who Olivia really was but was to broken up on the inside to tell her and of course he was way overprotected of her.  I guess with a memory like Olivia I would want to keep everyone away from me too!!

In the end I was really hoping that Olivia and Alexander would have made it past the speed bump such as the secrets he wasn't telling her, the hole I have a letter that will explain everything but I'm a chicken to open it. lol Come on dude get over it and open the Damn thing it would hopefully clear things up. I'm actually hoping in the next installment of the Book that Alexander grows some balls and opens it I'm dying over here to know what is in it?  Alexander is this strong guy who wants everything his way or no way and I think he has meet his match with Olivia except for the damn end lol when the signs get mixed up and of course she runs. Moving on from them to don't want to give to much away about Olivia and Alexander then you won't want to read the story.

Let me see who else did I really like in the story? Oh yes, Kiera she reminds me of myself I was like her in every way. She was funny, caring, fun to be around, and of course had to be stronger then Olivia on most things oh yes I was looking for the voice of reason lol. All in All I think this book just got added to my most favorite list believe me I have read not so great books but this is on my top 10 for sure of GREAT books.
This Story deserves 9 stars in my book. OK, on my scale it's a 9 or sure.

Author

T. K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is a producer / attorney by trade. Originally from New England, she now resides in sunny Southern California with her husband, dog and three cats, all of which she has rescued (including the husband). When she’s not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character from her debut novel, "A Beautiful Mess," she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
