Have you ever sunk inside yourself to a place of darkness so deep you couldn’t see the light? Had no hope? Felt completely alone in a world filled with so many people?
I have. I’ve lived it, breathed it.
Why?
Because life hated me.
It disliked me from the moment of conception, despised me when I was born, loathed me when I bounced from each foster home, and kicked me in the gut when I watched the one thing that meant everything to me leave.
For years, I drifted, unable to find my footing, never knowing what the word stable meant. Then a single moment in time rocked me to my core, changing me and making that solid ground I so desperately craved crumble at my feet, causing me to fall farther than I’d ever imagined.
The darkness of the swirling tornado that is depression captured me, pulling me down to its depths, drowning me, suffocating me, owning me.
A depth so deep, I didn’t think I’d survive and didn’t care if I did. I only wanted peace. I wanted the pain to disappear. I wanted to be … free.
Needing to fall into the cyclone of darkness was the only way I could find the light.

Amazing, wonderful, beautiful!!! I wish I could just leave it at that, but honesty in everything I was over the moon excited to read this story and by the end was totally in shock. Once again the author has blown my mind away with the writing and her attention to the details, each and every pieces has stolen my breath away. As much as this was a sad story I didn't feel like I needed to be sad at all but almost full of nothing but joy for Reign. My emotions were wrapped up in the story most of the time I had to double check to see what I was reading and not about my past with depression that is. It always amazes me on each page how the emotions have come out to play and take over the mind. I was in such awe with the way the characters have been writing and everything was spot on I didn't want the story to end at all. Ryan has really and truly out done her self with this story, I don't know how she is going to top this at all. Reign this amazing and strong woman that's full of demons that need to overcome, which the journey she takes to achieve this is amazing, the help she gets and  the love that she has to support her is one of many great things about this story. She is very independent, caring for others, scared, beautiful and all around a very lovable person. Lynx I just love that name, He's alpha all the way no doubt in my mind about that. He's fierce and very independent, bad boy to the bone and all around great guy who cares a lot.  When these 2 mix it's hott, and very explosive, the love they have starts to bloom and becomes full blown love in the matter of pages I couldn't help but get sucked in each time. I also couldn't help myself every time their journey had a twist to bite my nails and hope for the best for both. The small interaction with Ravage MC was totally shock was not expected at all, out of all the many twist this story had this one topped it all. 1 person POV story even if it felt like more only one, that was so much more to help you get sucked into the story even more.  MUST READ from cover to cover, don't stop even if your mind runs away for a minute keep reading it, I know once it was over I was upset and wanted more, sure I was upset at some points in the story but they were so worth it in the end.  Trust me and read this story. Must read of 2016!!!

My Rating

Ryan Michele has a huge obsession with reading, which only came to life after her best friend said she had to read Twilight. After reading that series, her entire world changed in the blink of an eye. Not only was she sucked into new worlds and all of the wonderful words authors put down on paper, she felt the urge to begin to write down the characters that played inside of her head. In doing so, Safe was born. When she’s not reading or writing, she spends time taking care of her two children and her husband, enjoying the outdoors and laying in the sun.

***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review***
