Release Blitz & Review: Uncovered By Truth By: Rachael Duncan

Title: Uncovered by Truth
Series: Lies and Truth Duet #2
Author: Rachael Duncan
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 17, 2015

My life has been full of uncertainties. Little did I know the biggest one would come in the form of a green-eyed beauty. She came into my life and flipped everything on its end and now things are more messed up than ever before.

Being former Special Forces, I’m no stranger to fighting, but this is different. This is personal. The stakes feel much higher and the struggle to save her will be my most challenging mission yet.

But I have a secret. A secret that threatens to tear apart everything we’ve built. I just hope she can overlook them when all is revealed.

You know me as Alex Matthews.

My mistake was getting involved with her, knowing what was on the line.

Their mistake was taking me away from her.

“Oh my God, Alex. They’re going to kill us, aren’t they?” Her lip quivers as she grabs onto my arm.

I grab both of her shoulders and stare into her eyes. “No, they’re not. We’re going to stay right here and we’ll be fine, okay?”

“But they’re going to come in after us. We need to leave.” Her voice rises with urgency and I know I need to calm her down before she does something stupid out of fear.

“Good. Let them come in after us. We know they’re out there. They’re not expecting us to be ready for them. We know the layout of this cabin. They don’t. We’re going to position ourselves in a way that makes it impossible for them to surprise us. In here, we have the advantage.”

It's an amazing view of the story this time as it's from Alex's POV more so then Elizabeth. The author has once again shocked me to pieces. It's one of those stories that you can't help but fall head over heels for and put down is way out of the question the more you read the story the more it comes alive right before your eyes. It's hott and dangerous all mixed into 1 finally written story that couldn't see to get any better. I have no idea what this wonderful author has done to me. This is one series that you want to read cover to cover both books it's going to blow your mind. The shocking ending twist is really what gets me the most I didn't know how to react to it; hurt, mad, angry, or just cry I had no idea I was on the bench about what happened. Pretty much in lala land. I recommend everyone read this for the fabulous characters with the different POVs and the of course the story plot which just grows more and more from book 1. It's a mystery, love, hott and sexy all wrapped into one mind blowing story it's filled with passion and love on just about every page. This story gets 4 stars from me due to I found the story hard to get into at first I was confused at the start with the switching of POVs going from Elizabeth to Alex to this time around Alex to Elizabeth. That and I also felt like it dragged on and on about the investigation with Cal a longer then what really needed to happen.

Rachael Duncan is an Army wife to her amazing husband, Steven, and mother to their beautiful daughters, Natalie and Zoe. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and went off to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in political science. With initial plans to work in politics, she moved to Washington, D.C. and worked on Capitol Hill for a House Representative. She's currently a stay-at-home mom to her two kids and writes whenever she has some quiet time. She's the author of Tackled by Love and Hidden in Lies.

Wow who knew that this story was going to be so emotional and very very hott at the same time. The attention to the smaller details are out of this world great right along with the characters and what this story is about. The characters all show weakness and strong points which I know couldn't have been easy at all to write. I really enjoyed my time reading about the characters and them coming out and making more of the back story come alive. The way the author wrote this story is amazing she made sure you felt like you were are a part of the story in every way. With each page turn I found myself glued to the story more and more. I have to say that the cover of the story really draws you in, it's like you can tell she's hiding something or looks almost lost. It's a great way to start a series and another great romance novel. It has it's moments that have left me going what the hell just happened or me yelling at the main character Elizabeth for the stupid way she stay with the As#hole Cal. I would have left a long time ago be damned what happens in my mothers life lol, OK that was a bit harsh but hey I fell for how strong She is for sticking it out no matter what and trying to get to a better situation; no matter if that happens or not.(don't want to give to much of the story away.) This story I was at first up in the air about then after a few chapters in I found myself completely lost in it and by the time the end page was here I wanted more and really didn't want to put it down. I do recommend this novel it's one that really opens your eyes up to the different type of abuse out there and makes you more aware to those that surround you day to day. It's a enjoyable and likable read.
