Review: Grit By: J.C. Valentine

What It's About?

Gabby Morgan isn’t looking for love. Not even a little romance. Following a rocky past that she’d just as soon forget, she’s determined to focus on the future. One that most certainly doesn’t involve the tough-as-nails, short-on-words, hot-as-hell biker…or his kid.

Blake Mahone may not be done with women, but he’s finished with relationships. Then Gabby Morgan enters the picture. She’s flawless, refined, and as his kid’s teacher, way out of his league. She acts like she hates him, but her eyes tell a different story. Before he knows it, Blake finds himself hot for teacher, and he’s more than ready to learn all her secrets. Now all he has to do is convince her to give him a shot…without getting them both killed in the process.

My Thoughts

I have mixed feelings on this story as some of it was slow and really hard for me to keep reading, My first time reading from this author, the writing is good the story line even better but for some reason it was slow. I think that might be to the fact that the different POVs ran into each other meaning you never knew who you would be reading from next, it even felt like it had a narrator; now that's a first for me.  Over all the characters are great and really fun to read about. Gabby comes off as this strong and independent young woman but really she's not. She has this weakness to her that really sucks honestly. I did like Blake he as all alpha all the time, that and his sweet side came out more and more with every page. Blake and Gabby together was holy crap hold on to your seats good, they bring out the best in each other and just really flow together nicely. The banter they had along with the other characters was amazing I can't wait for more. Other then this story being slow for me it's still a MUST READ, hell it's really enjoyable and great laughs all around. nothing I have read before that a fact.
